The most pressing issue facing artists after creating 360 VR content, is the difficult process of distribution and monetization. Finding buyers who are willing to license your work and negotiating fair deals are major challenges for XR creators, making it so that many talented artists are unable to monetize their completed projects. Iconic Engine solves this problem with established relationships with all of the major Telcos who are licensing 360 VR Video and by using their catalogue of premium content to leverage favorable deals for artists. Iconic Engine, together with Kaleidoscope and Sandman Studios, are combining their resources in order to help artists obtain licensing deals for 360 VR content by hosting the The 360 Showcase. Kaleidoscope will curate ten completed 360 VR projects from international artists and Sandman Studios will curate Chinese projects. In turn, Iconic Engine will represent the curated projects and secure licensing and distribution deals for the artists.
Projects must be a completed 360 VR Video, no prototypes are allowed. Submitted projects should also be high quality MP4 H264 or H265 with a resolution of 4096 x 4096, 4096 x 2048, or 3840 x 1920.
By submitting to the 360 Showcase, you acknowledge that you have read the Content License Agreement. By submitting to the Showcase you are not giving away any rights or agreeing to any contract. However, you acknowledge that if selected you will be offered a distribution deal with Iconic Engine governed by the rules outlined in their Content License Agreement. You also acknowledge that being selected for distribution by Iconic Engine is not a guarantee of licensing deals. If selected, you must be willing to make yourself available for the presentation on November 21st, 2019. The showcase will be held online and be a private invite-only event, so projects with sensitive information can share openly without worrying about the public having access.

Login to your Kaleidoscope account, or apply to join if you are not already a member.
Once you are logged in, add your project to Kaleidoscope. In the bottom right corner of the screen click the blue “+” button, select “Add Project”, and then follow the instructions. Make sure you actually publish the project and not just save it as a draft.
Once your project has successfully been added to Kaleidoscope, copy your project’s URL. Make sure you are not copying the project’s URL from the edit screen. Best way to avoid this is to find your project in the My Projects section, click to view the details page for your project, and then copy your project’s URL.
