The TERRA NOVA experience will be structured as a series of 5 chapters. Each chapter will be built around Captain Robert Falcon Scott diary entries and explore the range of extreme emotions experienced throughout the expedition.
Captain Scott was perhaps the most famous Antarctic explorer of all. His endeavours during the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration culminated in his 1910-13 Terra Nova expedition, during which he and his four companions finally reached the South Pole before perishing on their return journey.
To execute Terra Nova we’ve assembled the same creative and programming teams behind Notes on Blindness, with the added heft of the world’s number one motion and performance-capture studio - The Imaginarium.
The Terra Nova mission was the most photographed Polar expedition of its era. The art direction will be heavily informed by the many photographs recovered from the mission, ensuring authentic depiction of the equipment and materials used by Scott and his fellow explorers.
