STEVEN SCHARDT (WRITER/DIRECTOR) is an independent filmmaker. His producing credits include Humpday (Sundance 2009, Cannes Directors’ Fortnight 2009), The Oregonian (Sundance 2011), Your Sister’s Sister (Toronto 2011, Sundance 2012), Touchy Feely (Sundance 2013), and Men Go to Battle (Tribeca 2015). He wrote and directed the short Cavalier (SXSW 2013), and co-wrote and co-directed the film Treatment (Tribeca 2012) with Sean Nelson.
More recently, he collaborated with Seattle artists Zoe Scofield & Juniper Shuey on a dance piece for dome and 360, Experiments Nos. 1-3, and Will Oldham a.k.a. Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy on two music experiences in VR. Auto is his first narrative film in VR; it premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival and played at NEXT in Cannes. He is a graduate of Harvard College and lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
His next project is a speculative fiction series for mobile, VR and AR.
Mr. Sylvain Levy serves as Member of Advisory Committee at Artshare Limited. Mr. Levy is a leading collectors of Chinese contemporary art. His private collection, the “DSL Collection” (www.dslcollection.org) ranks among the most important and innovative in the world. It encompasses painting, sculpture, photography, video art and installation of 100 of the leading Chinese avant-garde artists. The collectors' focused philosophy of acquisition and their utilization of new technologies to promote their works are what set the DSL collection apart. He is a visiting professor of Art History and Management at the University of Shanghai and guest lecturer at various leading universities. He is members of the International Committee of Tate Modern.
